Senate Judiciary Committee Hearing on Marriage Equality

1/24/2012 - Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg, D-Bergen, hears testimony during today’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on S-1, legislation that would establish marriage equality in New Jersey. The bill is sponsored by the Senate Majority Leader along with Senator Raymond J. Lesniak, D-Union and Senate President Stephen P. Sweeney, D-Salem, Cumberland, Gloucester. The bill was released from the Committee with a vote of 8-4, along party lines. The bill now heads to the full Senate for consideration.
